Dear Members,
Firstly, I would like to thank you all for the opportunity to be your next President for the Principal Association. This is an exciting role and I plan to continue advocating for our school leaders.
I am honoured to follow in the footsteps of many outstanding Presidents that I have worked with during my time on the NTPA Executive, including Britany, Sabina, Pam and Maree.
The NTPA Executive are working in partnership with the Educator Wellbeing Team to ensure the co- designed School Leader Wellbeing Action Plan is implementing priority actions with strong principal voice guidance.
I would like to thank the members of the Executive team Vice President Primary and Chapter chair for Central Belinda Pearson, Secretary Carolyn Edwards, Treasurer Sarah Corry, and Chapter chairs: Arnhem- Joe Hewett, Barkly- Stephen Nimmo, Darwin- Lorraine Evans, Katherine -Jane Arnott, PaRR -Jackie Roberts.
They have been great advocates for all members in their regions and have prioritized communicating issues and concerns back to the executive forum. Please reach out to your chapter chairs for any additional support during this time.
Finally I would like to pay tribute to our retiring Principal members Sue Fisher and Pam Erfurt. Both Sue and Pam have made significant contributions to NTPA / ANTSEL during their long careers. They have become respected and deeply admired Principal mentors and leaders.
Please prioritise your wellbeing during the Christmas holiday break and take time to enjoy your families and special interests.
Enjoy the holidays and stay well.
Warm regards,

The Future Leaders Program
Applications for Teach for Australia's Leadership Program, the Future Leaders Program, were due to close this weekend but have been extended in recocgnistion of the impact of covid in schools this year.
About the program
FLP is a one-year professional development program testing a new approach to strengthening the school leadership pipeline in our outer regional and remote schools facing systemic disadvantage. Specifically designed for educators working in these Australian contexts, the program equips teachers with the skills, knowledge and experience to thrive in the challenging and rewarding roles of school leadership. FLP offers its participants an environment with:
- Individualised coaching – working with FLP Leadership Coaches, who are also experienced school leaders, building on participants’ unique strengths and aspirations.
- Contextualised support – focusing on building on the strengths of their students, school and community.
- Peer network – matching participants with other teachers who share particular strengths and work in similar contexts, so they can grow together throughout the program and beyond.

In collaboration with the NSW Department of Education’s COVID Intensive Learning Support program (CILSP) and as one of only four approved providers, Cluey is rolling out its live online face-to-face program across a number of primary and secondary schools in NSW this term. Using its proprietary learning platform with content and coursework based on the Australian curriculum, Cluey’s team of expert Educators and Teachers are assisting schools, teachers and their students affected by the disruptions caused through the COVID lockdowns and home schooling.
Using a team of qualified and accredited teachers, Cluey delivers small group tutoring for English and Maths in years 3-12 and Chemistry for years 11-12. The tutoring can be delivered regardless of whether students are studying from home or are back in the classrooms. Cluey can also provide small group tutoring programs for schools in all states and territories where funding is available, or school budgets allow.
With the high likelihood that state governments will extend some form of COVID support beyond the end of this academic year, it might be useful to find out if this type of program can be of value to your school and community. For more information, please use the links below to find out more:
